Nollywood industry night set to kick off with Rita Dominic

The event is set to kick off next Thursday with Rita Dominic and the much talked about movie "Suru L'ere."

"Nolly Thursdays" is the new Industry Night" for the Nigerian film industry, and it's geared to promoting and celebrating Nollywood movies (old and new) in the cinema, as well as the actors and filmmakers involved. 

The event which will kick off on Thursday, February 18, will hold 6pm every last Thursday of the month at Genesis Deluxe Cinemas Lekki.

Set to be attended by fans, actors, producers, producers, directors and all stake holders, "Nolly Thursdays" will showcase a Nollywood classics weekly.

The core objectives of GDC's Nolly Thursdays are as follows:

Promote Nollywood movies

To increase local content in Nigerian cinemas

Create a platform for key stakeholders in the industry

To attract young talents to the Film Industry

Activities will include

1. Guest Movie Star

2. Movie Screenings

3.  Red Carpet

4.  Q & A sessions

5.  Autograph sessions

6.  Photo Session with Fans

7.  In-house DJ and Cocktails

The  first guest has been announced as Rita Dominic and the feature Movie as “Surulere”.
