Lagos – Blessing Effiom, Nollywood actress cum producer, said on Tuesday in Lagos that most Nollywood movie producers lack ideas of their own. Effiom who expressed her disgust through the social network platform said that majority of the producers lived on other people’s ideas. Blessing Egbe “ They still go about repeating same title of movies, scripts and ideas in the industry, “ she said. She questioned popular cable channels, for not screening contents before buying and airing it to their viewers. The actress accused some producers of illegally stealing other people’s works to satisfy their clients after collecting money from them. “Actors, producers, directors jump on set because they are paid to work. People steal and copy stories. In the end, you will look stupid. “Are we running out of ideas in Nollywood? Can two or more film makers sell same story to one source, don’t you watch films you buy? Goodness!! Same names, same lines, same story. “These film makers tomorrow will parade themselves as film makers. “Who are we to then cry about piracy? And script writers who sell same script to two or more people. “Your reward is coming. You are worse than a pirate and will reap what you sow, “she said.
